New PACE High School Groundbreaking

Members of the school board and district leadership pose with shovels and wearing hard hatesA groundbreaking ceremony, held June 12, marks the start of construction for the new PACE High School.  During the ceremony Superintendent Garza and School Board President John Francisco recognized all who made this project a reality.  A special thanks goes out to the Wapato School District voters who supported a $33-million construction bond measure in 2024 that will help pay for the PACE project and the construciton of a new elementary school to replace Camas and Satus Elementary Schools.  The PACE project will take about a year to build and is expected to be finished in time for the 2026-2027 school year.   Construction of the new elementary is expected to start about a year from now.
