Dear Simcoe Families,

 

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I am honored to begin my second year as principal of Simcoe Elementary and excited to welcome both returning and new families to our school community.

This year marks an exciting new chapter for Simcoe as we become a dedicated Pre-Kindergarten, Transitional Kindergarten (TK), and Kindergarten school. Our youngest learners will have the opportunity to begin their educational journey in an environment specifically designed to support early learning, development, and success. We are thrilled to create a strong foundation where children feel safe, valued, and excited to come to school each day.

At Simcoe, we believe that the early years are some of the most important years in a child's education. Our dedicated staff is committed to providing engaging learning experiences that foster academic growth, social-emotional development, creativity, and independence. We are focused on helping every child develop the skills and confidence they need for future success.

Our priorities for the 2026–2027 school year include:

• Creating safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environments where every child feels a sense of belonging.
• Supporting early literacy, language development, and foundational learning skills through high-quality instruction and purposeful play.
• Partnering with families to ensure every student has the support they need to thrive.
