Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope this letter finds you well. As we progress through the academic year, I wanted to take a moment to touch base with you on some important matters regarding our Simcoe Elementary community.

First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude for your ongoing support and collaboration in ensuring the success of our students. Your involvement in your child's education is invaluable, and it truly makes a difference in their learning journey.

As we progress through the remainder of the year, I would like to update you on a few items.

Communication Channels: Open communication between home and school is crucial. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or our administrative team if you have any questions or concerns.
Student Support Services: Our school offers various support services to meet the diverse needs of our students. Our dedicated team is here to provide the necessary resources and guidance for academic and emotional support. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Parental Involvement: Your involvement in your child's education greatly enhances their learning experience. I encourage you to participate in school activities, volunteer opportunities, and parent-teacher conferences to stay engaged and informed about your child's progress.
Parent-Teacher Conferences: Our upcoming parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for March 21 and 22. This is an excellent opportunity for you to discuss your child's progress, strengths, and areas for growth with their teacher. Your child's teacher will be reaching out soon with more information on schedules. Please make sure to schedule your conference appointment with the teacher at your earliest convenience.
The Wapato School District will be transitioning from the Remind App for parent communication to Parent Square in the near future. You may have already received some information on this, but stay tuned if you have not. This platform offers direct messaging between staff and families, the ability to post pictures, events, etc., and the ability for the district to sent alerts in the event of snow days or other unscheduled events. If you have not done so, please download the Parent Square app. Staff will be available to help register you if needed during parent/teacher conferences.

In closing, I want to thank you once again for your continued partnership and support. Together, we can create a positive and enriching learning environment where every child feels valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Esta es una excelente oportunidad para discutir el progreso, fortalezas y áreas de mejora de su hijo con su maestro. El maestro de su hijo se comunicará pronto con más información sobre los horarios. Por favor, asegúrense de programar su cita para la conferencia con el maestro lo antes posible.

El Distrito Escolar de Wapato cambiará de la aplicación Remind para la comunicación con los padres a Parent Square en un futuro próximo. Es posible que ya hayan recibido algo de información al respecto, pero estén atentos si no lo han hecho. Esta plataforma ofrece mensajería directa entre el personal y las familias, la capacidad de publicar imágenes, eventos, etc., y la capacidad para que el distrito envíe alertas en caso de días de nieve u otros eventos no programados. Si aún no lo han hecho, descarguen la aplicación Parent Square. El personal estará disponible para ayudarlos a registrarse si es necesario durante las conferencias de padres y maestros.
