Dear families of Wapato Public School students,

 

It has come to the District's attention that Wapato teachers plan to make themselves available at the Wapato Community Center this week (August 28-31) to meet with families during the same scheduled times of the open houses that were canceled by the District on Tuesday, August 28th.  The District made its decision to cancel the open houses due to ongoing teacher negotiations and due to teachers choosing not to participate in the open houses as planned.  Please be aware any events taking place at the Wapato Community Center involving Wapato teachers are not being organized or sponsored by the Wapato School District.

 

The cancellation of the remaining open houses that were planned to take place in the schools this week remains in effect.

 

We hope this information helps clarify any mixed messages you may be receiving.

 

Just a reminder, school is scheduled to start on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 and we look forward to seeing you all for the first day of the new school year.
