Principal Message to Families Regarding Printed Learning Resources Pick-Up for April 15

Dear Simcoe Students and Families,

I hope this letter finds you safe and healthy. The coronavirus pandemic continues to affect us all, however, we are grateful for our front-line workers for their sacrifice and dedication. Please continue to practice safety measures such as social distancing and washing your hands frequently and thoroughly.

As we go through this challenging time, our Simcoe staff have been working remotely in teams to develop student work packets. Work packets were given to students on Friday, April 3, 2020. Another round will be ready on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Simcoe Elementary School. Two sessions will take place from 9:00a.m.-11:30a.m. and 1:00p.m.-3:30p.m. The packets will be organized by grade level and by specialists. The packet pick-up will be at the Simcoe and Adams’ bus loop. Please look for a message from the district for more information.

Your child’s teacher has been trying to get a hold of you either through email or on the phone, calls from unknown numbers may be their teacher. If possible, please email your child’s teacher if you have any questions. Also, if possible, please set a daily schedule for your students. It will help both students and parents.

It has been good to see some of you at different spots around the school district. I speak for all of the staff when I say we miss your students and want them to return to class as soon as safely possible. We do not know what the future holds, but the learning of your children matters greatly to us. Parents and teachers have always had a partnership. That is truer today than ever. We need your help to keep our children learning. As we go forward, we’ll be sure to keep you updated, and know that we always value our partnership.

Thank you for your patience and support during these times.

Sincerely,

Maria Batarao

Principal, Simcoe Elementary
