It is NOW official! 

Today (2/23/24) Yakima County certified the February 13, 2024 Special Election and the Wapato School District's 2024 Bond was officially approved with a 61.74% YES vote.

For those of you who may be wondering; What’s Next?  There is a great deal of clerical type work that the District  is required to take care of with the State and to prepare for the process of selling the bonds.  That work will take place over next few months.  Once that is wrapped up you will begin to hear about and see things start to happen around the design work for the PACE High School Project.

Just a reminder, the PACE project will take place first and then the elementary school project.  The chronology of the projects all has to do with needing to wait on the elementary project so we can qualify for the most state match money possible.

This is a VERY EXCITING time for our community!
